We are looking for three new Independent Councillors to join the LTA Council, each with unique backgrounds and experiences, who can make a positive contribution to the diversity of our thoughts, ideas and approaches to Tennis Opened Up
The LTA’s Council is the forum representing most of those bodies which are members of Lawn Tennis Association Limited and some other organisations involved in tennis. Each of our Councillors plays an exciting and vital role in growing tennis across Britain, and ultimately achieving our vision and mission.
The Council is chaired by our President, Sandi Procter, and consists of 54 Councillors including 8 Independent Councillors and is governed by the Articles of Association and the Rules of the LTA. The Council meets 4 times a year in person and Councillors have further opportunities to contribute in a wide range of working groups in specific areas.
We particularly welcome applicants who have lived experiences or knowledge of :
- Inclusion & Diversity
- Disability Sport
Please note this is not essential criteria for the three vacant roles
We will also be assessing candidates against their experience of being in a senior role, tennis/other sport heritage as well as digital competence. Note that it is not necessary to have a vast knowledge of tennis, but it is expected that a candidate would have a considerable interest.
Closing Date:
- Interviews will be held on Tuesday 29th or Wednesday 30th October at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton. Teams can be an option if required, however the preference is in person
